Goodboy 0.25.0

You edit branch history live with Undo and Redo, the session terminal moves to a drawer, and Monitoring, Resolve and the queue get clearer.

New

Edit branch history live

Commits applies each edit to the branch at once, with Undo and Redo in the header. A conflict stops the edit and leaves the branch as it was. Uncommitted work is stashed first and brought back after.

Previous versions

Every history edit and rebase keeps a version of the branch. The Previous versions drawer lists them with the reason each was kept, and Reset branch returns to one.

Fix a failed push

When a push fails, Fix with agent starts an agent on the failure, and Open terminal here opens a terminal on the worktree with the command ready. The agent commits and Goodboy pushes again with the same lease.

Read queued messages

When a run finishes with messages waiting, Read queued message hands them to the orchestrator in one turn. A stopped run offers Resume and read. Nothing starts on its own.

Improved

Rebase from the base row

The base row of Commits says how far the branch is behind and holds one Rebase onto latest button. Pick another branch in the row to rebase onto it. A version of the current history is kept.

One terminal list, in a drawer

A session's terminal opens in a right drawer next to the transcript and shares one list with the Terminal page. Cmd+Alt+T toggles it on the active worktree. The session terminal lens is gone.

A clearer Monitoring grid

Monitoring has column headers for Port, Label, Opened by, Process, Up, CPU and Memory. Agent children are indented and terminal rows say what they are, with the process and its pid.

Running counts in the column

Terminal and Monitoring in the side column show how many are running and in use, and a dot when the column is collapsed. Pinned ports are checked every 30 seconds while Monitoring is closed.

Actions in the file header

A file's header holds icon actions with tooltips for Open in editor, Show whole file and Copy path. Show whole file opens a drawer with its own unified and split switch.

Resolve in one run

Resolve is one run with one set of words for Working, Ready, Applied, Failed and a question. A reply the agent asks for shows as a question and a final report no longer reads as one.

Branches follow your agents

An agent that renames or splits a branch does it through Goodboy, so the mounted worktree follows the new name. A branch deleted on the remote shows a Remove button, and Restore branch when Goodboy kept a copy.

Queue is the primary

In the message box Queue is the primary action on the right and Read now sits beside it as a ghost button.

Fixed

  • A tooltip no longer sticks in the file tree after you scroll.
  • Search fields show one focus ring, not two.
  • Resolve no longer says a thread is no longer on this branch when it is.
  • Continue is not offered while the run works.
  • A final report is no longer shown as a question.
  • A new agent opens on Transcript when its Brief is empty.
