Goodboy 0.15.3
Start a project from an empty folder, pick the model new chats start on, and read context changes as a diff in the activity timeline.
New
Start a project from nothing
Choose Start a new project on the empty screen, in the workspace launcher or in the setup wizard. Goodboy makes the folder, starts a git repository on main with a first commit that holds only a .gitignore, and opens a first session that works right in that folder.
Publish creates a repository on your GitHub account, private or public, or links one you already have. When main is on the remote, Move my work puts everything you have not committed into a session named bootstrap with its own worktree, and the project folder is clean again. From then on the project works like any other.
Default model for new chats
Pick the provider, model and effort that new chats in a workspace start on. Set it with Make default in the chat model picker, or under Chat in Defaults in the provider settings. Back to automatic clears it.
When the saved provider is not connected, the chat starts on the automatic model. Chats you already have keep theirs.
Improved
A folder without a repository says how to start one
The git pill of a project with no repository offers Start a repository, then Make the first commit, and Publish once there is a commit, instead of asking you to run git yourself.
Context changes read as a diff
The activity timeline labels a change to a task's decisions as Context and shows it as a diff, +N for what was added and -M for what was removed. Rows where nothing changed are hidden.
Fixed
- Decision changes in the activity timeline keep their counts after a reload, instead of showing 0 added and 0 removed.
- The re-check scout sits under the resolver that worked its thread in the activity timeline, not at the top level.
- Crash reports include the error message when a request fails with one, so a report says what went wrong.
